Beyond Entertainment produces scripted drama, unscripted and kids’ content with a focus on creating and delivering compelling stories that resonate globally.
The Scripted team works with experienced talent, emerging creatives, and co-production partners to tell stories that entertain and challenge, stories that explore who we are as a diverse multi-cultural nation that resonate the world over. Recent premium dramas include Troppo, co-produced with EQ Media, (ABC and Amazon Freevee), Halifax: Retribution, produced by Beyond Lonehand, starring Rebecca Gibney and Anthony LaPaglia, a ratings success for Channel Nine and acquired in the US by PBS Distribution, and the medical drama Pulse, co-produced by Beyond and Clandestine TV for ABC.
Beyond Entertainment scripted also produced the feature film Manny Lewis,
Kids programs include the Emmy Award-winning animated series Beat Bugs for Netflix and Motown Magic (Netflix), Nippers (ABC), Milly Molly, Labrats, and Hoopla Doopla (ABC and CCTV China).
In non-scripted, its focus is on producing international documentary content, predominantly that shines a new light on Australian people, events and places. Working for domestic and international broadcasters, productions include The Years That Made Us, Whitlam: The Power and the Passion, the documentary on the rise of AC/DC, Blood & Thunder: The Sound of Alberts, the Universal Pictures theatrical release The Angels: Kickin’ Down The Door, and the Sony Pictures International release John Farnham: Finding The Voice.
Non-scripted has also produced the definitive Midnight Oil theatrical feature The Hardest Line.
