Beyond Entertainment produces scripted drama, unscripted and children’s content with a focus on creating and delivering compelling stories that resonate globally.

Scripted works with experienced talent, emerging creatives, and co-production partners to tell stories that both entertain and challenge, as well as explore who we are as a diverse multi-cultural nation that resonate the world over. Currently in post-production of the highly anticipated new drama The Family Next Door starring Teresa Palmer due to premiere on ABC in 2025 (a co-production with Muse Entertainment), recent premium dramas include Troppo co-produced with EQ Media/Perpetual Entertainment (ABC and Amazon Freevee); Halifax: Retribution produced by Beyond Lonehand starring Rebecca Gibney and Anthony LaPaglia, which was a ratings success for Channel Nine and acquired in the US by PBS Distribution; the medical drama Pulse co-produced by Beyond and Clandestine TV for ABC, and the feature film Manny Lewis.

Children’s programs include the Emmy Award-winning animated series Beat Bugs for Netflix and Motown Magic (Netflix), Nippers (ABC), Milly Molly, Labrats, and Hoopla Doopla (ABC and CCTV China).

In non-scripted, the company’s focus is on producing international documentary content, that shines a new light on Australian people, events and places. Working for domestic and international broadcasters, productions include docu-feature Midnight Oil: The Hardest Line which opened the 2024 Sydney Film Festival before being released theatrically by Roadshow and premiering on ABC in 2024; 2024 series Great Australian Concerts presented by Diesel for SBS Viceland; jointly producing the Scott Hicks directed features The Musical Mind (Bonsai Films), and Ben Folds: I Play Piano through Beyond May30; the multi award winning docu-feature John Farnham: Finding The Voice which was theatrically released by Sony Pictures International, breaking Australian box office records, before premiering on the Seven Network in 2023; as well as The Years That Made Us, Whitlam: The Power and the Passion, the documentary on the rise of AC/DC Blood & Thunder: The Sound of Alberts and the Universal Pictures theatrical release The Angels: Kickin’ Down The Door.
