Great White Double Trouble
An epic shark showdown
In Australia, one of the ‘sharkiest’ places on earth, scientists make an astonishing discovery. There’s not one population of great white sharks down under… there’s two! They’ve evolved separately over millions of years, and they’re so genetically different that when they do meet, they don’t mate. Now statistics suggest that one is far more deadly than the other. Could Australia be home to a strain of great white super predator? Shark experts Paul DeGelder and Riley Elliott decide to find out by pitting the two tribes against each other in an epic showdown, head-to-head, bite-for-bite. Produced for Discovery Shark Week.
