Beyond Entertainment is delighted to announce that it is in pre-production on an exciting new drama, Troppo, co-producing the series with EQ Media Group in Australia and with LA-based AGC Television as co-financier and co-producer.
Commissioned by the ABC in Australia, the crime drama follows an ex-cop falsely accused of a disturbing crime as he teams up with a female private investigator who served time for murder. The show stars Thomas Jane (The Expanse, Hung) and will be mostly shot on the Gold Coast and in the far north Queensland wilderness, with shooting planned to get underway in the third quarter of this year.
Supported by Screen Queensland and Screen Australia and with our own David Ogilvy and Mikael Borglund as executive producers, Troppo has been created by Yolanda Ramke (Cargo, The Haunting of Bly Manor), based on Candice Fox’s novel Crimson Lake. Further details will be provided over time.
